Georgian Grandeur, The Circus, Bath

Bath is awash with Georgian facades of considerable grandeur. It is for the most part a great charade though as was the style of the time, only the frontages were built in this style, the rear of each appartment is built by a different builder in vastly different styles.

Another in my B&W UK Series.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/poet8] Thanks! Quite an interest spot too. There are three large semi-circular frontages making up the a circle, and if you stand in the middle, any loud sounds you make echo.

This very much reminds of of the Pimlico/Belgavia district of London.
England really does have grand architecture that makes our own look very lacking in character.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/xenedis] Quite! Sure we have some unique architecture here, but for the most part you look at it and think, this stuff is never going to last 600 years.
