    Thanks David, the sky was a definite bonus, as was the fact that it decided not to rain on us :)
    I find the flattened perspective interesting in this shot. The dome looks more like the 50mm version in person, but just by getting closer and wider it appears to flatten out.

    Yeah we got quite the cloud show at just the right time. It sprinkled pathetically about 10 mins later and then cleared up.

    This dome is not geodesic. Geodesic refers to ALL greater circle geometry. This is based on lesser circle geometry.
