Nice one David... How do you find the 100mm Macro... I'm eyeing off the L version but wondering if it's worth the extra cash.

Nice shot David, now wasn't he worth it. He'll never been the same again after all the flash.
David de Groot said:
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/steves_life] Yeah the back/side light does that too them (being so small and all).
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/markgoodwin] If macro is your thing, it does an awesome job and was the go-to macro lens in the 90-105mm range before the L series one arrived. The L has some better coatings and of course IS. I used both today, but there isn't much in it quality wise. However, both are also excellent portrait lenses, and that's were the L series' IS would come in handy.
David de Groot said:
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/allan_nielsen] Yeah I'm thinking he might be a little blind for a while, and yes, definitely worth it.

What an obedient little frog!

Looking at the detail in the moss, this guy was tiny David!!
Beautifully lit & composed mate!!
David de Groot said:
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/bradchiplin] Well until he hopped off for a bit, but was thwarted by your frog-wrangling skills ;-)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/36021204@N03] Absolutely tiny Adam. One of the smallest frogs I've encountered.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/41280421@N07] It can really add a bit of oomph. I should point out that I used two flashes here, but you could also use a Twin Light like what Greg had (MT-32).
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/chooksh] Thanks Tim!

Wow that is small, you have made him look big but as Adam said the DOF has really given away the size of the frog. Beautiful lighting and the moss is excellent.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/samuelsharpe] The beauty of a 1:1 macro lens :) I don't usually do much macro as it's finicky work and can be very frustrating, but it's times like this that it seems worthwhile.
