Fireworks for RiverFire 2006 #2

The Brisbane Riverfire Fireworks as seen from the base of Mt Coot-tha.

We tried to get a park further up the mountain but ended up finding a reasonable vantage point near the base at Bardon.

This series of photos was taken on a tripod in the back of my Ute, which unfortunately was full of children, so quite a few suffered from a little motion blur.

Awesome! I know where I'll be shooting from next year! (We've only been in Aussie 5 months and have much to learn :) ). Great series!

Thanks Maria, apparently they let off 6,000 fireworks (or about 3 tonnes) over half and hour.

Meg, thanks :) It wasn't the best vantage point, but having a high 4wd ute meant we could see over the cars and people in front of us :) Just had to keep the children still while I was shooting (not easy with a 4 year old).
