I had organised to meet Peter (batch2008) at Cedar Creek this weekend for an early morning shoot (chosen to avoid harsh light later in the day), and indeed a meet was had, but due to the storm last night the creek was less photogenic than usual (muddy and brown).
Still we got a few half-decent shots and I imparted a few tips, so it was all good in the end.

B&W :P
See:
it looks good... if it wasn't so muddy it'd be a refreshing place for a cooling off dip.
Nice work Dave, sorry we didn't make it out there was very wet at 3am, storm was rolling over ;) A shame about the water.
Mind you, I didn't have to get up until 4:45am, it being just down the road. If I didn't have breakkie first, I could have got up at 5:20 and still made it there by 5:30 :)
I have a thing for waterfalls, creeks, etc and ZERO experience virtually.
Seeing images like this one makes me want to
A. Go and have a crack at it myself and
B. encourage gifted photographers like you to go and DO SOME MORE PLEASE....
Shame about the water being brown and yukky but you applied your skills and made it look ethereal and moody at the very least. Thanks for sharing it with us. Cheers, David.
hmm to me (the untrained eye) that looks fine :P
I guess you can tell the difference though
I quite like the muddy water :D
beautifully taken, amazing!
Thanks for your time this morning David. My shot doesn't look how yours turned out, so I still have a bit to learn . My main problem i'm sure is my lens, i'm now sold on your lens the 10-20, which is now added to my wish list.
Nice work David!
I like both situations - for differrent reasons - I like the way the water has a milky appearance here.
lol, actually it might be crunchy...with all the twigs and leaves and other debris!
a BEAUTY . . .
