F/18 Super-hornets

Australia's first five Super-hornets turned up today and did a fly-by over Brisbane on the way to Amberley, escorted by four F-111's.

Unfortunately, the escort wasn't close enough to get them all in the same shot.

    Had them go directly above work in Carole Park, they came pretty quick too. Had the same problem, couldn't get them all in the one frame. Great pic Dave!

    Shame really, would have been much nicer to get them together. I was unfortunately not in the best spot, as I didn't know which way they were flying over. I'm hoping Kane has some decent shots from on top of Kangaroo Point Cliffs.
    Didn't seem too noisy to me, but maybe they hadn't opened up yet....

    Yeah fresh from the US.
    I also shot the F-111's but the sky really was "meh".

    Oh bugger - Kane was over at KP, and I was hoping he got some sweet shots from there. Mind you, the sky wasn't very exciting.

    Nice... where were you when you took this? I was at the Botanical Gardens but as you said, the sky was very "meh".

    Bowen Terrace, Rob, just above Wilson's Outlook. They came in fairly low over the escarpment, but didn't seem to fly low through the city.
