Emerald-Spotted Treefrog

Sitting on the back stairs railing.

Rosie (one of our dogs) has been hunting around for this poor little fellow all week, but luckily he's eluded her so far.

Emerald-spotted treefrog.

Litoria peronii.

Do they call at your place? It's got to be one of my favourite calls - sounds like someone laughing really hard ;D The laughing kookaburra frog...

Good question - the Kookaburras go off at dawn and dusk, and I can't say I've heard spurious laughing outside...

Great shot. The lighting is exquisite.

Thanks :) 'twas a single bare flash handheld off to the left.

Thanks, I do hold a mean flash
    :completely straight face:

Wow. I'm sure it's no mean feat to hold a flash at a frog and not watch it hop away before you've got your shot................Unless it's glued down of course.

I'm impressed.... both with Lea and her flash holding... and David and the amazing froggy capture! He is so cute!
I hear what I think are frogs here, but I never see them!

We get them on the veranda, probably attracted to the bugs and spiders I suppose (easy dinner). :)
