Duck

I like this one, sure it doesn't obey the rules, but for some reason it appeals to me.

Sometimes you just have to break the rules.
    I like it too.

Very nice shot, the duck is the subject and is sharp and in focus. I would have cropped/cloned out the bricks tho.
    Good Work!!

    True & Cecily David :)

Yeah I considered cropping it Cecily, but I wasn't sure - 'spose I should have to compare at least.

I'm with Melissa -- there are rules, David? So did you bring Duckie with you?

Hey David, Rules are only made to guide the masses. they are made to be broken by the adventurous
    And this proves a point.
    Good shot!

Oh you know, rule of thirds and all that stuff Margot. This one has the main subject, the duck, in the centre of the frame, but if I cropped it so she was on a third I'd miss out on the lilypads. And yes, Duckie was in the camera bag watching, but he's somewhat unsociable with his feathery brethren. ;-)

True Kev, and lets face it, getting the "correct" framing on a moving animal isn't always possible.
