great shot dave..... the question is though, who was driving! :-)
Also i expect that you weren't going as fast as the shot appears to be...you don't need much movement to generate that 'fast' look!
well done!

You were really hanging out there!
David de Groot said: Lea was driving, so I don't know exactly how fast we were going, but I'd guess 20-30kph.
Not as far as it seems actually. The wide angle lens tends to distort distance perception in a shot like this.

I came around the corner doing my usual 50 or so, saw you were going to take a photo, so slowed down to 40ish, you said 'if I wanted you to slow down I would ask' (silly me, thinking you were going to take a photo of the pretty horsies :-P) so I sped back up (*cough* no one read the lat long and check out the speed limits there, ok?) I think by the time you were taking this I had dropped down to about 45 for the usual reasons in that area. I do need a bit of speed for the hill.
So probably around 45

Aha, the "roundabout" that you say isn't really a "roundabout"... =P

you've got to watch the speed on those roads out samford way...thats where I had my first accident (yes I said first but I swear I'm better now).. so I think doing 45 is actually quite slow for how fast most people drive around some of those roads.
David de Groot said: Ah see by that spot I'm thinking of changing down to 2nd so I'd be definitely under 40kph.
Yep, that's the one :)
Hmmm, methinks you might be referring to me...

ah yes, you people also drive on what the rest of the world call the "wrong side" of the road :-p
David de Groot said: Bah! This from someone that originally hailed from the UK ;-)
