Do you really need an excuse ?

I bought doughnuts yesterday since my parents were visiting and hadn't experienced this style of baked delicacy - but really I didn't need an excuse...

For six word story.

    Cool shot, btw

They're the Brisbane version of Krispy Kreme, Alison. i.e. we don't have Krispy Kreme up here, but we have Dreamy Donuts which are the same light and fluffy yeast based doughnuts as KK.

Welcome back from you holiday btw, was it good ?

yes thanks the holiday was good! :) Did you have a break over the new year?
Ahhh, KK.... I've actually managed to resist buying a box. I think my heart goes out to the local little bakery down the road.... so I buy there instead!

Well I support our local bakery for yummy things too, but bake my own bread, and every now and then, as a special treat, we'll indulge in some devilish doughnuts!

Probably best you resist the KK calling, since after you've had one it'll be hard not to go back for more... ;-)

I just finished a dinner of Cheese Fondue. :)

First the doughnuts and now the cheese fondue...you're so cruel!

    Yep :)

Although we slacked out tonight. I made calamari fries and homemade potato chips for dinner, served with homemade egg mayonnaise.
