Dessert!

Home made Choc-Top.

Yes, that is leftover Ganache from "The Cake".

Mwhahahahahahaaaa!

(note, from a technical perspective, this shot is pretty much straight from the camera, no post processing beyond a small crop to remove my fingers)

Yes, bow down and worship the cone of chocolate! Bringer of all things creamy and icy. Purveyor of ganaché toppings and life-shortening indulgences. ;-)

Thanks Maria - I was about to bite into it and figured I should share it with my flickr friends ;)

Oh no, ignore the mad cackle above, and just think of it as a virtual gift ;-)
Happy Valentines to you too (although it's over here now).

And it was Jill :) I even put set ganache in the cone tip so one ended with a chocolate finish.

Thanks Al, it was indeed :) I have plans for an improved version (taste wise, not photographically).

i like your work..both photography and icecream experimentation
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Richard :) I like how the ceiling ended up chocolaty brown also.

My next plan is to drizzle melted ganache inside the cone, then chill it to set. Stuff layers of icecream and ganache into the cone and then top as above. Super chocolaty heaven in a cone!

Well, if you insist honey, I guess I can volunteer to be a test subject in your experiment ;)

Ooh, looks glorious! I would like to volunteer my tastebud, too. (o^^o)
  • David de Groot said:
Well I think you'd have to visit to do so Margot - somehow ice-creams via courier don't work ;-)

    No cackling thought Margot ;-)
