Crocodiles Inhabit this area...

Take at Cape Palmerston, Central Queensland. Definitely a 4wd only track, just as well my truck is a 4wd :)

Much to my consternation I didn't see any crocodiles though...

    Did you go all the way to the tip of the cape ? We didn't, as I wasn't keen about driving on the beach with no backup, and the road inland to the tip was getting sandier and sandier.

    Yes we went on the beach and all the way out to the tip (photos will come later). The driving on the beach was fairly easy compared to driving on Fraser - where we also went on this tour.

    I've not done any beach driving yet. I felt I wasn't prepared for it either (no way to pump up the tyres after letting them down for the sand, for instance, no recovery gear either).

    ?! I once went to a crocodile farm...they were even creepy when they were babies.

    We've seen crocs at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - the kidlets even held a baby one.

    no way! It's a great pic - they're brave than I will ever be! I had a huntsman crawling on me last weekend and I think if I had of realised what it was at the time I might have actually died!
