Cowled

I thought I'd run this one up the flagpole as it's got something and I'd be interested to see what people think of it.

Works best on Black

The force is strong with this one...
Looks good. I like the shadows.
    Less is more.

I like it. A little spooky and a slightly artificial feel to the skin, like those videos where they mass produce hooded people who will chase you down.
The lighting works well producing moody atmosphere.
    Works for me.

It does look like that doesn't it :) The only shadow I'm not overly impressed with is the one from the nose.
Apart from the duotoning, the skin is "as shot". He's only 5 after all, so still has that young "perfect" skin. The lighting was harsh, but I think it works reasonably well here.

I think it works well. Nice tonality, and a hint of mystery as to what the subject looks like.

If you'd have told me that it was actually a macro of a small figurine, I'd have believed you. The fabric just doesn't look right...
The shot, however, is gothic and brilliant.
    Thanks for sharing.

This was another of my TM "point in the general direction and shoot" shots. I'm getting more familiar with the 100mm focal length now.
Yep, Aleks it is. He likes his red hooded jacket, and made good use of it today, despite being a bit too warm for it.
Cheap polyester fleecy jumper + short depth of field gives you fabric that doesn't quite look "right". Thanks, I was after the monastic type look, with a sinister twist.

    I actually like it!
Is this what we call, Keeping a low profile?
    No really, I like it!

    Thanks - I presume it is ;-)

looks silent and thirsty ... yeah, and a little bit spooky

Thirsty - hmmm, there's a new interpretation I'd not thought of - accurate too, as he was indeed thirsty when I took it.

He needs blue lighting bolts emanating from his head. :-)
