One of many goannas around the Gantry Picnic Ground at Mt Mee this afternoon. This one was hiding in the bushes and reminded me of the raptor scene in Jurrasic Park (hence the title, for those that didn't get it immediately).
I've uploaded the full resolution file so you can see just how clean ISO 2000 is straight out of the camera (caveat - minor crop for compositional reasons).

Ha ha Jurrasic Park loved going to see that as a kid loved it, Shame they had to make a 2'd and 3'd movie.
ISO 2000 is great over the XXD bodies, How is the 5D2 at ultra low ISO must be clinically clean.
awesome shot mate..
and yes, the quality out of the 5dMkII is something that is quite hard to fathom... coming from the 400d as both of us have, you can truly appreciate just how good this camera is! :-)
Re: Jurrasic Park.. yep..... i agree!!! she's definitely a clever girl! :-)
Looks like this came off a 400D! hahaha na Dave this is as sharp as my ginzu 2000 knife that never needs sharpening...
And yes, at ISO 100, it's very very clean indeed - see this cow I shot today too.
great sht nice and sharp...
Absolutely sharp and detailed, a great capture.
thanks dave..... :-)
Great shot!! He really wanted to be a star!!
And like the raptor she's pointing away but that eye is fixed on you, while her partner sneeks up from behind.
The detail of the skin is stunning.
very impressive detail and lack of noise
I can even see what looks like a tick or other parasite on its neck
Yeah ISO2000...hey, you don't need your SB's anymore. Sell them too Dave
