    hey, good to see it wasn't a waste of time getting up so early.
    When i got up at about 10 that morning it was pouring with rain, so i did wonder if anything had come of it.

    Yep, we were lucky :) Sunrise itself didn't happen, instead the clouds came over and we had a few spits of rain, but it was still worth getting up for.

    From low cloud and the light pollution over the city - 'twas handy actually as we never got proper pink clouds from the sunrise.
    'twas funny, when we got there we got out, walked around and thought, this isn't too bad - but after a few minutes the breeze found it's way through our clothing and then it was indeed quite brisk.
    The water did it for me too - sort of a tarnished silver look to it.

    Yep, 5:43am :) We were lucky with the pre-dawn stuff, but dawn itself was fairly unspectacular.
