Beautiful light and textures around those rocks.

But did you see the hidden lizard ?
(I didn't at the time, it was only in post-production that it became apparent) Thanks Melissa :)
picsbymac said:
I was looking! Need to come back to this tonight - we've got our first winter storm hitting the city and the commute is going to be long!

I did, I did see the lizard! You've done a beautiful job with this.
David de Groot said:
I noticed it's darker on Lea's laptop than on mine or my PC making the lizard harder to see (but not impossible).
Thanks Margot :) I actually bothered to spend some time on this one.
Whoohoo a storm Melissa ? I like storms :)

I can't see any hidden lizard, but then, it wouldn't be hidden if I could see it so I don't feel too bad. Great photo all the same David. I like.
David de Groot said:
hehehe I assure you it's there in plain sight. :)
However once everyone's had a go, I'll mark it with a note.
Thanks for dropping by Tim :)

(actually I did see as I was writing that previous comment but I'd started so I finished).
Oh I do quite often 'drop by' but I'm just shy at leaving comments.

Wow, thats one BIG Gecko or a small cascade, Whatever it is a great job you have done Dave.
David de Groot said:
Well don't be shy Tim, you can't make much more of a fool of yourself than I do in Helen's stream ;-)
Kev, it's possible that it was a very large falls and it is in fact a dragon, not a lizard ;-)
David de Groot said:
Ah I see Steve found it too :)

Sneaking a peek at the office - easy to spot the lizard on this monitor! Very nice.
About the storm - yeah, it's great! Right now ice pellets are bouncing around, visibility is poor, snow will start @ noon...should make for fun photos tomorrow am. A far cry from your green photos though!

Great work, David !

Thanks Richard :)
Amazing what difference a monitor can make isn't it Melissa :)
As for the ice and snow, too right! Last time I saw and touched snow would have been around 1989 from memory.
Thanks Horst, glad you liked it :)

This is an incredible shot! You can't really tell if it's a huge waterfall or something very small. I love the smoky look created by the long shutter speed! FAVED!!!!
David de Groot said:
Thanks Sharon :) A little bit of fantasy on an otherwise ordinary day.
Thanks heaps Mark, that was the original plan, a bit of ambiguity on the size. I didn't think I pulled that part off quite as well as I'd hoped, but then I've seen the original, so it's a bit hard to fool myself.

David de Groot said:
Oh well, we can't all be fools all the time Helen ;-) I'll try to find something more amusing to post soon. If I were more artistic, I'd have been tempted to add little wings to the lizard to make it more dragon like, but all I've done is crop and vignette.

It's a great shot, David. Beautiful long-exposure water effect!

Thanks David :) It was dusk, and the swimming hole is in a valley so f/22 resulted in a nice 2.5 second exposure :)
As for the lizard, I didn't even see him when I took the photo.
