There are two such carvings near the windlass used to haul the anchors.
I'm not sure of the significance of the carvings, as both are identical and appear to be standard seamen (based on the hat - not pictured here). They both look aft over the length of the ship, which may be significant.

Where did you take this is the HMB Endeavour in Brisbane somewhere ?
Interesting shot Dave. In the thumbnail I thought you'd done some crazy self-portrait :)
looks a bit like Lenin from this angle...! :-)
haha I thought the same as Warwick too...
quirky shot...
Neat will try and find time to check it out I work over in Eagle Farm just next door to the air port.
upon first glance, I thought someone had made a carving of yourself in wood - LOL
nice picture. Might take jnr along to see this boat.
How much to get in?
$15 for adults, $8 for children, although if you go as a family it's $30 for two adults and up to four children.
Thanks for that Dave
Nice capture, beautiful clarity.
You always look so wooden when you pose David...but no need to be all red faced about it.
I see above it's not just me that thinks it's modeled on him :P
