This is a still frame from a movie I shot as an experiment to see if it was good enough to capture the muzzle flair.
30fps is great, but the resolution suffers and there seems to be compression artefacts. Still got "the shot" anyway.

That's pretty much a 100% guarantee to get the bang "shot". Nice idea David.

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)
Didn't catch the cannon ball flying out then!
thats some outfit that person is wearing- authentic canon firing attire ?
Cheat! :P
Yeah ok, so you got the much more impressive night one.
this is cool, who wouldve thought the bang would be so colourful
who says the 5Dii isnt an action/sports camera ey :P
Does it matter how you got the shot ? lol
Nice one David :-)
Nah seriously, doesn't matter a fig, although I'll agree that if you can catch it with a proper still frame rather than from a video, you'll get a crisper, and bigger shot, but it's as much luck as skill.
Nice one mate, yeah, having that extra feature....is neat.
lol David you are a big kid -
(I got my Iphone today :-) having trouble working it out at the moment lol)
As for the iPhone - it's fairly self explanatory - really it is. If you need a hand, let me know :)
Thanks David, I will have a play with it (& I have lined up my teenage son for Wed night ) if I am still stuck I will let you know :-) Thank you
nice one. I wouldn't mind the ole video feature on my camera.... In saying that I still won't be giving up my stone age 30D anytime soon.
you capture the moment
