Brown Thornbill ?

Acanthiza pusilla.

It could also be a Rufous Whistler (Pachycephala rufiventris).

    Not yet... although people keep suggesting it.
    Bit of a rescue job on the sky as it was more blown than I'd like (an unfortunate side-effect is increased blue fringing, but I think the bluer sky looks better in this case).

    Yeah, my initial assumption was a thornbill but closer inspection in my bird book suggests the whistler too. I might change the title.
