Macropygia amboinensis.

This bird flutted down into a tree near me as I was stalking another bird.

    Aye, it flew into the tree near me and I thought, "ah just a pigeon" but then had a closer look. Not long after this he flew off into another tree and disappeared amongst the foliage.
