The Group!

Brisbane Strobists, Brookfield, Brisbane, Qld, Australia.

There were a few more, but some had to leave early. That rear flash had not fired on any of the previous shots, so we didn't expect it to go off this time either, but it did, somewhat annoyingly.

Strobist info: Vivitar 285HV camera left at 1/4 (?), pale gold gel, Canon 430EX in shoot through umbrella, camera right, Canon 430EX? rear of group, purple gel, unknown flash accidentally fired at rear.

    Alas, by the time we got our act together for the group shot, there weren't many people offering ideas and we were starting to lose participants (the call of dinner, etc I presume). So James and I just got everyone up near the stage and shot them with my ultrawide lens. The lighting is less than ideal, and the dynamism is a bit lacking, but given the short notice I don't think we did too bad.

    I almost packed a ladder and a fan, but it was raining when I left home so I didn't want to muck about in the wet.

    Howdy Stranger :) It was a good meet, that's for sure. Kara enjoyed herself, even if it was difficult to get her and her ego back in the car afterwards ;-)

    Ah well it could have been better, but well, we were all tired and lacking in vision by that time of the night.

    Well there's about a million people in the south east of Queensland, so a bit over 20 strobists isn't too unbelievable :)
