That was quick nicely done, The rocks work a treat for some foreground interest.
David de Groot said: Thanks :) Not too bad really. Yeah, quick and the dead around here ;-)

I like the foreground interest you have added too Dave
David de Groot said: Thanks Kath. Yeah shot a couple without the light painting but decided it needed the extra boost.

great city shot and the rock being lit adds interest

Cool cityscape David.. Love the reflections.
Do you have a formula for your light painting exposure or just give it a bit of light for a few seconds, because that foreground is perfectly lit.

David de Groot said: Thanks - the river is a big part of Brisbane and as such always worth featuring :) Not quite the same amount of interest I wanted but it'll do. I blasted it with about 5 or 6 full pops of a 580exII. You get a feel for how much an exposure needs after a few goes. Thanks :) I think the grasses would have made for a more interesting foreground actually, but the trick is to get them not moving. Thanks - 2min exposure does a lot to calm the river ;-) Thanks !
