While everyone else was at the Riverside Centre shooting the Bridge for dawn, I decided to head further down the river and aim back at the city for a different perspective.
The addition of a Hoya NDX400 filter provided for a nice smooth river despite the high light levels.

Great composition, well done David.
Love the light
Nice shot... Great light.
Wow. Beautiful cityscape! I like the subtle reflections in the water.
Seen in my contacts.
You must have left home early then David, Nice shot the ND does let you pull of some cool tricks.
I say this a lot when commenting on Brisbane City shots dam its changing fast the number of building shooting up is crazy, I'd love to make a archive of sorts of our city now and keep it for quite a few years then bring it out again.
Nice.
Beautiful colours. The ND has smoothed todays rather choppy water beautifully.
wow, great shot david...was this for the world photo walk thing?
so smooth & detailed - love it Dave
Nice shot David - very clean and simple feel to it
Nice Dave, could imagine someone skating across that river.
This is excellent!
Stunning Dave, love the colours very eye catching.
Love the smooth reflections in the water. I can never get myself out of bed early enough to get photos like this!
Wow, wow and wow. Just love the light and colours in this, looks almost surreal.
Perfect shot of Brisbane. Light captured perfectly.
Lovely shot David, tried this shot many times but never anything like this achieved
Must must make the effort to get up at dawn one of these days....

Long time no see, been gallivanting again ?
Been doing some house reno's Dave so havent been on here or out taking pics at all recently. PLanning a trip later this week so hopefully redeem my tardiness :-)
Shanghai...
Nah it's all good Dave, I have a pair of ruby slippers that I wear, I just tap the heels together and say "there's no place like Nando's" and I just go instantly - I have a spare pair! :-)
Ok then, Im seeing A mother polar bear with a cute cub, bear prints in the snow leading toi the bears poking their heads over a low rise in the distance, maybe a mangled baby fur seal in the foreground and red blood on the fur of the bears...bring the 400mm...im just saying :-)
splendid shot....
congrats on xplore...
beautifull capture
Well captured. Water is very smooth and photo is sharp. Sky has a beautiful pale blue and looks stunning
