Brisbane Dawn

While everyone else was at the Riverside Centre shooting the Bridge for dawn, I decided to head further down the river and aim back at the city for a different perspective.

The addition of a Hoya NDX400 filter provided for a nice smooth river despite the high light levels.

    I say this a lot when commenting on Brisbane City shots dam its changing fast the number of building shooting up is crazy, I'd love to make a archive of sorts of our city now and keep it for quite a few years then bring it out again.

    That's what I was waiting for. Took a few leading up, but it was this golden light that was the whole point of the perspective chosen :)

    Thanks :) The water was quite choppy this morning, so a longer exposure helped smooth it out and thus gain some reflections.
    I'm working on it ;-) Yeah up damn early (4am) to be in town by 5:45, but I did get a nice hot shower, which is always a bonus.

    Thanks Rob. Gotta be there at the right time, with the right kit. ND400 is pretty much essential for this sort of shot, as it's way too bright for anything else.
    Well if it's any consolation, I have a cold now from my efforts :(
