Brisbane City Christmas Tree

Resplendid with white pool fencing around the base. :P

I didn't get the shots I wanted due to a group decision to head for food (can't complain, I was hungry too).

Only if you're used to celebrating it in the winter :P
We have the advantage of two Christmas celebrations here, with the colder parts of the country celebrating Yuletide in winter, and everyone doing Christmas in summer :)

I tried to take a few shots of the casino with the tree but I wasn't happy with my framing. You nailed it.

'tis a tough spot - the pool fencing does not help, or the fence around the busway. I wanted to shoot it a bit later in the day, when the sky is a rich blue and the lights show up more, but we'd gone in search of food and missed it.

What's funny is that the council had hired a security guard to guard the lights and tree as well as putting the fence up.
