Black Kite

Milvus migrans.

A distinctive kite (due to it's tail) and very common in the Mackay region floating around the roads and sugar cane fields.

    Thanks, there were several kites circling this paddock, a couple of Whistling Kites, about 4 of these Black Kites, and two Wedge-tailed Eagles.

    Yeah, difficult shooting conditions, harsh sun and deep shadows, but managed a couple of ok shots.
