Black Kite

Milvus migrans.

Shot from the front lawn of my parent's place in Greenhill, Central Qld.

This area has a LOT of Black Kites, mostly along the highway and canefields.

Awesome! One of my photographic goals is to capture a graceful bird of prey in flight

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/chriskara] Hang around the botanic gardens in town near the river in Spring/Summer and you might spy a Brahminy Kite. :)

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/bradchiplin] Pretty much Brad, although I clipped the top wing feathers :(
