Shot from Kangaroo Point, next to the river at the base of the cliffs.
The Captain Cook bridge is in the mid-ground.
Needless to say, this would have been even more impressive with a 10-20mm lens.

Thanks Jill :) But you'll agree it'd be even better with an ultra-wide angle lens eh ?
But did it rain! No, it was grey all day, but not a drop. Very disappointed.
Nice one David. This is very dramatic.
Wide is good, and I have to say that I opted that way over a telephoto.

I like this one - grey brooding sky - nice!
May I suggest cropping those two bits of tree off the left-hand side? ;-)
It must have rained out here last night since the car was wet this morning, but yes, not a drop today. Apparently the forecast (last time I looked) was for increasing showers tonight and rain tomorrow... I'll believe it when I see it.
I could crop out the greenery, or I could photoshop it out, but I'm feeling lazy, so probably neither will happen. :P
Lovely shot. I love the sky. I like the idea of the crop. A really wide angle lens....even better

You did good with your kit David, but yes, this makes the case for a wider lens : ))
Thanks Alexandra :)
See Honey, everyone agrees and ultra-wide lens would be beneficial :)
Bah! I don't see any cost-benefit analysis, just a whole bunch of 'Ooh! Pretty!' Where's your business case? Convince me how its going to benefit us beyond 'but I want one'!
:-P
(No, 'less pouting' won't cut it :-P)

(Besides, your birthday isn't until July.)
Ah, it's all about Art (see with a capitol A), as opposed to some silly notion of capitalist economic theory. :-P~~~
......as storm clouds gather on high
beaut shot!
Ah, you do all the Art you want, darlin'. Its very pleasant to look at.
Just don't expect anyone to divert 'mortgage tagged money' or 'grocery tagged money' for it
:-P
