Something about this shot that stands out to me more than the others, I think it might be the waves rollling in. Awesome Dave.

    Thanks Nic. :-)
I wasn't entirely sure about this one. Lea liked it though, so I plonked it up online.

oh I like this a lot - lots of motion and good light too
pity about your boots, but what the heck :o)

    Thanks Kenny :)

Well the boots leak, in fact they leaked before that, so I knew getting them wet would also get me wet, but yeah, sometimes you just need to do these things for the sake of art ;-)

Great crashing waves and beautiful light. I like the way the tide pours through the hull.

ps bad luck in the darts!

I agree with Nic on this one. I like this one the best Dave. The waves crashing in and the higher light levels really makes this picture more interesting for me.

btw: Sorry about the boots mate!!

    Great shot!

thats exactly what i thought when i first saw it. something different - a short exposure! makes it look rough, like the ruggard-ness of the ship

    great shot indeed!

Awesome image, but personally I love the vignette version.
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks :) Despite the less than amazing dawn it still came out ok ;-)

'twas rough seas for sure, but not as rough as it had been earlier in the week (8 ft of sand had been washed out from the beach). Thanks Bennie :)

    Thanks Ronnie.

Very nice. Great sunset, nice exposure and nice shutter speed.

The wreck as a central focus point brings it above 'just a beach sunset'

    :+)
  • David de Groot said:
Or even a beach sunrise for that matter ;-)

nice. I ended up with very wet shorts when I took mine :)

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

I really didn't want wet anything as I don't trust seawater near my camera - in fact this is the first time my dSLR has been anywhere near the waves.

    lol - wet shoes!
