A 1964 Avanti.
I actually layed down on the garage floor to get this one, it's a view most people wouldn't see (well unless you'd just been hit by one).
Taken during the 2007 Studebaker Car Club National Meet, at the Gold Coast International Hotel, Southport, Qld, Australia.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
Thanks Horst - Happy Easter to you too :)
That it is Steve. Ordinarily you wouldn't see the grill as it's quite low, which makes for a unique looking car. These things have a fibreglass shell over a steel chassis, powered by either a 304cui V8 or a supercharged version of the same engine. For their time, they were incredibly fast, and I dare say a well tuned one today would still make for a thrilling ride.
It's a great perspective - I like it - and worth getting down on the floor for.
Thanks David, yes unlike you and your flippy screen S3, I now have to get down on the ground for these shots.
I paid no attention to the front of an Avanti when i saw one here www.flickr.com/photos/frontdrive34/2791785799/in/set-7215... and as a result only snapped the rear end. Great looking beasts.
One of the first cars to have a grill less face, so common today, buy not in 1962. Guess if you have to go, this wouldn't be a
bad last image.
