Are you looking at me ?

Alas, tonight we were invaded by flying ants. They're all over the flyscreens trying to get in, we've shut the windows since they can in-fact wiggle past the screens. There are litterally hundreds outside swarming about. About a dozen made it inside before we noticed, this is one of them.

    Your flying ants are different to ours. This looks more prehistoric! In common both appear to love getting into the house though!

    Most things in Australia tend to look more prehistoric ;-)

    Yeah I'm not sure what they plan to gain by getting in the house, the dogs seem to find them tasty if nothing else.

    I went down to the pool the other day and there were hundreds of these guys floating around the surface. Some with wings intact, some without. At least the water attraction keeps them away from the house

    Indeed they were - for some reason they didn't like a camera lens being placed within a couple of centimetres of them.
