Araluen Cascades

Finch Hatton Gorge.

Dad and I made a mad dash up the track to catch some long-exposure waterfall shots before the light went. We did not come away empty handed.

It is indeed Maria :) Great spot to catch our breath, since the 1.4km walk from the car park was mostly up hill and we were pushing it fairly hard so we wouldn't get there too late.

Looks like lime jelly with white chocolate bits in it.

    Damnit now I want jelly!

    Great shot David!

    Indeed :)

Hmmm, I'm detecting a theme here... chicos, jelly and chocolate... ;-)

    nice shot dave.

I'm trying to work out the scale of the shot at the actual waterfall. How high is the actual overflow!?

    The water is so clear!
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Bennie, I have added a note on the photo with an approx. scale for the last leap of the waterfall.

Nice shot, love the detail in the bottom left.... So I'm guessing this looks a lot bigger in real life than it does in the photo?
  • David de Groot said:
Sure does. That's the compressive nature of the 10-20mm wide angle lens when tilted slightly downward. (when you tilt it upwards everything looks taller).
