Another day at the beach...
Taken a while ago (July 2006) when we took a trip north to visit my parents near Mackay.
I had forgotten that I'd taken this shot until I saw it come up on Lea's computer's desktop (random desktop images are great).

We have sooo much sun here Tim that the sheer weight of all those photons is almost too much to bear!

Lovely shot, David ! I keep having that happen to me to - I'll come back to my computer after a break and find some photo I'd forgotten about on the screensaver and think to myself "I must crop it like that and upload it to flickr" but I always forget it again !
we have had a lot of rain recently, you know that wet stuff that falls out of the sky, the river near me has well and truly burst its banks, cant get to photo it yet though, sunny here today, just no heat coming off the sun- that I can feel. all right for some !!
David: send us some of those photons please as a trade for that rain we emailed you a few weeks ago ;-)

No sun where you are Margot ? We could do with a little less sun and somewhat more rain at the moment.
I have palm trees here, not coconut palms like in the picture, but picabeen palms - just as pretty, minus the potential for head damage from falling coconuts ;-)

Given I came home from dropping the kids at school this morning and then slept another 3 hours, due to exhaustion from a couple of days of 30C inside and I wasn't even in the sun?

I dont like the heat either, we do get it as hot as 30 in the summer here nowadays as well, horrible. No fun at all, you cant do anything its just too hot and humid. I would much rather it s cooler, then normal life can continue !
