I hadn't intended to upload three bee shots in a row, but managed to highlight all of them in LR when I hit export...

Depends on how much light you have really - this was afternoon sun through trees, and to get f/8 (for at least some depth of field), a flash was essential. Ordinarily, I'd fire an off-camera flash as straight on-axis light is pretty meh!, but being sick I didn't bother to try to juggle a flash and the camera at the same time.

Learnt some things too - don't use the lens hood when trying to shoot bees, they don't like it and thus fly away before you're anywhere near close enough.
