Anchored in the City

Today's walk saw me catching a ferry across the river and then walking down Kangaroo Point towards Southbank and the Goodwill Bridge.

This anchor is on an old part of the docks that used to exist on the Kangaroo Point side of the river, near the RiverLife Adventure complex.

So you finally got around to this spot. Nice. different perspective from my shot of the same place.

Yeah I was inspired by the possibilities after seeing your shots. BTW, I think the little rotunda thingies along that walk might make excellent spots for Blue hour shots of the city. Weather permitting, it'd be good to try on Saturday around dusk, so remember to bring a tripod :)

I dont travel many places without the tripod now, so i will definitely be there with it.
Ive been wanting to get back in there one day, so this saturday i get my chance.

ps. its nice to know that one of my photos inspired someone about something :D

Well with the backpack for work (including laptop) and the camera bag, a 2kg tripod seems a bit much to carry around everyday, esp. since most days I'm not in the city after dark anyway.
