    Surprisingly no - I'm not sure what usual attendance is like, but it's nowhere near as well attended as The Abbey is. Good for Photographers though as you can get shots without tourists in them ;-)

    You're right (I just checked) it does look pretty good in b&w :)
    What's possibly not as noticeable in this diptych is the heat haze around the gun. I missed getting a flare out of the barrel (it fires quite rapidly), but got the haze.

    You're right it is hard to spot the heat haze...I even looked at the largest size image and couldn't spot it. Nice diptych though - they go really well together :)

    Absolutely :) The only thing that gives it away is those uniforms...in a real battle they'd be covered in muck and wearing helmets. You could've thrown a bucket of mud on them and then taken the shot :P
