A path to oblivion

At least there wasn't much to see at the end of it due to encroaching clouds, although Kane saw what was there before I got to the lookout.

    Absolutely magical when the clouds move in though. Not easy to catch that atmosphere with the camera, but it was a wonderful experience being there.

    Hey David... I like how you've compressed that path with the 85mm focal length... and I really like the shallow depth of field here!! I'm always striving to get absolutely everything in focus in my own landscape shots... often forgetting that I could (and sometimes should) use the DOF to direct the viewer's attention to my subject. Thanks for the reminder! :)

    Whereas I have a penchant for less DoF and usually go for the widest aperture I can get away with. ;-)
    Thanks Milli. Even with the wider aperture (f/2.2) I still needed a tripod for this one, as it was quite dark.
