    I wanted to get the river in the shot, since it was a lovely shade of blue today (not the usual greeny brown - this I put down to the lack of clouds).
    In the background are the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, where, if you're game, you can abseil or rock climb.

    I've never been able to get close to any animals with my camera. I'm too impatient. I'm more the person who runs at them and takes a quick snap as they are fleeing the scene. I have many pictures of animal butts!

    Thanks Jeffrey, that part is one of my favourite things about these ducks too :) In different light it can appear green, blue, or purple.
