I like the flecks of clouds in the sky :)
David de Groot said: Yeah there wasn't much in the way of clouds today. Check out the linked pano (above) for how it looked in 1925.

NIce David :)
David de Groot said: I was going to swing past Humpybong Creek while there, but everyone was tired. Yeah I figured there's a few I can work out where they were taken from, and shoot again. :)
David de Groot said: Thanks, it's 17 shots stitched together - final version was 2.53Gb in size, which I then converted to 8bit and saved as jpg to get it down to about 9Mb.

Thats a big file Dave.
David de Groot said: Aye, that it be.

Great panorama
David de Groot said: Thanks Kat. I need to redo to match the 1925 version now that I've had a better look at it.

Great Pan David, looks great
David de Groot said: I plan to reproduce a couple more too :) Thanks :) I think, when I reshoot I may need to use a slightly longer lens, and maybe a ladder in order to get the same field of view as the original.
Mitch Lahey said:
Longer lens would be good. David you got a Polarize filter? That would go great shooting this location
David de Groot said: I didn't bother with the polariser, as you'd have to adjust it several times over the pano (due to angle from the sun), which is a pain when doing this sort of thing handheld.

David de Groot said: Ah, well, someone has to do it ;-)

Excellent pano David. Love the scene, will have look at the original when I have time. I love a historical background on stuff.
David de Groot said: Thanks Adam, well worth checking out the historical version.
