1962 Studebaker GT Hawk

This car was restored and owned by my Grandfather, Herb Rose. He sold it only a few months before passing away and it is now owned by Russell Daws.

I was quite pleased to see that the car is in the same excellent condition as when Grandpa owned it.

Ooh...shiny blue car! It must be very pleasant to see it again looking so good.

hehe - nice blue colour - actually I think it looks quite a neat car. I'd prefer this one to the other Studebaker.

    Sure was Mel :)

It's a Mercedes Blue David. The Studebaker colour of that year was a little lighter. This particular car is a little non-standard, in that the colour isn't original and the interior is leather rather than vinyl, but it still got 2nd place in the GT Hawk class :)

Gorgeous! I wish Studebaker had this color available in '62. I feel sad for the tan one next to it.

Indeed! It's an excellent colour - a Mercedes Blue of some sort from memory.

The tan one next to it is special in it's own way - I think that one's only done 9,000 original miles.

It was Mercedes metalic blue in 2 pack enamel if my memory serves me correctly.
